The cultural and educational goals of ECHRS are strengthened by donations from individuals. These ‘legacy gifts’ are charitable contributions arranged during a donor’s lifetime but not available until some time in the future. They live on, touching lives, impacting communities and ensuring a vibrant tomorrow for local history and heritage.
A planned gift to ECHRS is a meaningful, tangible way to leave behind a legacy that extends well beyond the walls of our institution. Your legacy gift provides an important source of annual revenue to ECHRS, which in turn supports student education and value of our local history and heritage to our community.
How do I make a Legacy Gift?
There are a number of different ways to leave a Legacy to ECHRS.
*A Bequest in your Will
Make a ‘bequest’ by including a simple provision in your will that leaves some of your assets to ECHRS.
Name ECHRS as beneficiary, in whole or in part, of a new or existing life insurance policy.
Annuities can provide regular payments (annual, semi-annual or quarterly) to you in return for a charitable gift of cash or securities.
ECHRS can be designated as the beneficiary of the remainder of an annuity or investment funds
How your Gift will be used.
You will want to discuss each of these options with your lawyer or estate planner to determine which is right for you.
